Our Nissan Leaf had a bad battery cell and was suffering with range as a result.

I thought I would have to incur a huge bill from the main dealer or source a specialist from much further away.

After a quick look on Google, I found The EV Workshop, a short drive from where I lived, and the reviews looked very promising. The owner, Dean, was confident he could source a fully tested used part and replace the cell if needed via the HEVRA community they are part of. He also quoted what I thought was a much fairer price for the work than I had originally anticipated.

I now have a fully working car again, and they were just brilliant at rising to the challenge to get my car back in full working order, even helping with a few other minor faults the car had developed.

Dean is really passionate and knowledgeable in the field of EV cars, which the majority of garages simply won't touch! He went above and beyond and really takes pride in what he does. I would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to other EV owners.

My family was travelling across Europe and England when our hybrid minivan flashed a battery related error code and essentially shut off mid-trip. We spent the night at a B&B and limped to the EV Workshop in Kent the next day. The shop saw us on short notice and diagnosed the fault quickly, keeping the labor fees much lower than I had feared. The minivan was repaired same day and we were on our way. This shop is top of the line and I would recommend them to anyone with an EV or hybrid. My review is only 5 stars because I can't go higher!

If you have an EV, any one that develops a fault, this is the place to go. I had a non running fault on a Mitsubishi I-miev and took it into a local dealership in Ashford for repair. They quoted just over £3000 just to look and diagnose the fault and estimated another £2000 to fix! (Effectively writing off the car). At EV workshop, they were brilliant at engaging with the car issue, diagnosing the fault and organising for the appropriate repair calling on the expertise of HEVRA. Total cost of repair £790 +VAT. Car is working perfectly. This garage comes highly recommended and very friendly and understanding service given too.

Took my broken down Hybrid here. My garage wouldn’t touch it as it was show as a hybrid fault. It was actually just a belt gone. These guys fixed it promptly, excellent service and very reasonable price. Would highly recommend.
