We went to the down the chimney pop up event and it was super cute. Loved how they hid pickles for guests to find. Everyone loves a good scavenger hunt. It was far better than expected. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun holiday event. Drinks were great! Wish they had a little more/different food menu for snacks there but still overall 5/5 stars

This is a great hotel! We stayed here just for one night when our flight was getting in super late to Minneapolis. The lobby itself is absolutely beautiful and if I lived in the city, I would work from here all the time. There’s a coffee shop and a restaurant at ground level, but no room service if that’s something you demand from your hotels. The rooms were beautiful, small but well appointed and incredibly unique. The beds as always at Marriott are exceptional. When we were here, it was quite cold and there is a skyway that connects right down to the waterfront where we had lunch. It’s in a nice part of downtown if you don’t have a car and want to walk around. They even have bike rentals upfront for those warmer months when you want to explore on two wheels.

We had an amazing three-night stay. The room was comfortable and super clean. The location is great- we were able to get all around using the skyway. The restaurant and cafe both had great eats with good options for dietary restrictions.|Most importantly, every staff member from the valets (shoutout to Dux and Steven) to checking in (Liz was our hero and our kiddo’s favorite) to the cafe (thanks for the tiny hot chocolate) was incredibly thoughtful. I’m not sure that I’ve ever had better service at a hotel. Definitely will stay again!

Update as of 12/9:
Just to point out couple of more things. 1) Rooms are great, but the TV location must be repositioned as it is currently too low, and guests can hit their head easily while sitting on the sofa. 2) During game days there should be more than 2 people at the spy coffee bar. The line was so long that it took us over 45 minutes to get drip coffee.

This review is not for the hotel rooms but only for the lobby bar and "down the chimney" basement bar event.

We enjoyed our cocktails at the lobby bar prior to the down the chimney event. John was a gracious host and made excellent drinks!

Down the chimney was a lot of fun! We attempted to find the hidden pickle(s) but did not succeed. Drinks were spendy, but did not lack alcohol! The old fashioned was particularly delicious! They did a wonderful job of decorating and offering a lovely atmosphere!

Stopped by the hotel for their Down the Chimney Xmas Bar. I hope this will be an annual thing. The drinks and decor were equally amazing. Would highly recommend for a fun holiday after work event.

There was no transparency on the money hold on my card. The room was 190 + taxes & fees but nowhere does it talk about deposit. I looked on the website and couldn’t find anything and I looked on the app and couldn’t find anything. The lady who took my card at the front desk was not transparent about how much my card was being changed, or that she upgraded me without letting me know. I felt a lil robbed and saw because I wanted to eat at the restaurant but I didn’t plan for an extra $80 to be taken from me. And this was on Christmas Eve. I was so uncomfortable I couldn’t stay the night there. Or talk to the front desk people because I couldn’t tell if they were lying or treating me weird. But I’d really like my money back

This hotel is nice and perfect for our large group programs. Their rooms are dark but very comfortable. We have had issues here in the past with breakfast miscommunication and valet.
Guilia resturant in the lobby is actually the best resturant food I've ever had. I have absolutely no issues eating there 5 nights in a row because it is so good.
I do also want to share that Dux from valet is incredible. He's helpful, knowledgeable and always extremely happy, regardless of the time of day. I am always hoping he is the one working in the mornings when we are there.
