Engineer fitted with relative ease and EVEC’s customer services were really good when I gave them a call. I opted for the untethered as it looks cleaner, but would’ve liked the EVEC to lock the cable like my car does during charging, not major, still happy with it. Have been getting circa 7.3kw through this, so big thumbs up! Competitively priced, approved by UK Gov, easy to use and would recommend!

Amazing service!! I ordered my charger on Wednesday it arrived by Friday. Fitted the following Tuesday. The charger it’s self is well made and looks smart too. Would highly recommend these to anyone who is wanting a charger

We've had our evec charger for almost a year now, and we've been really happy with it so far!

When we ordered our first electric vehicle (EV), a Nissan e-NV200 campervan, we were trying to understand the various methods of charging and decided we’d like a home charger for convenience and the potential cost savings of overnight energy tariffs. Our campervan uses a Type 1 charger, and we found many options on the market seemed quite expensive until we discovered evec, who offer a range of chargers suitable for any EV.

We used our own electrician for the installation as we were having some other work done at the same time. The electrician was impressed with how easy it was to install. Apparently, some other (more expensive) brands do not always include all the parts needed for installation, but the evec charger came with everything required in the box. The installation process was straightforward, and the charger was up and running in no time.

We did initially have an issue setting up the charger, but a quick email to customer support resolved it. They provided clear instructions on how to reset the charger, and we’ve had no other issues since! The customer support team was responsive and helpful, ensuring we could get the charger working properly without any prolonged downtime.

For such an affordable charger, it comes with all the main features you’d expect, such as optional app control and scheduled charging, allowing us to take advantage of cheaper electricity rates overnight. The app interface is user-friendly, and the scheduled charging feature has been particularly beneficial in reducing our energy costs. We can easily set the charger to start during off-peak hours, ensuring we make the most of lower tariffs.

One of the features we particularly like is the colour-changing LED light that makes it clear when the charger is in use—blue for standby and green for charging. This visual indicator is very convenient and adds to the overall user-friendly design.

The automatic three-year warranty gives us peace of mind, knowing that we are covered in case of any issues. The build quality of the evec charger is robust, and it has proven to be reliable over the past year. We’d definitely buy another evec charger again in the future if we ever move house. Overall, we highly recommend the evec charger to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, and feature-rich home charging solution for their EV.

Had the evec vec01 fitted nearly 2 weeks ago and everything is working great. If I had to pick fault with it the flashing light is quite blight in the dark but I'm sure a bit of electrical tape will calm that down with part of it covered. Looks very neat on the wall and quite small. I would definitely recommend.

Kept updated on progress from company. Installer arrived on time and completed install very quickly, no mess left. Customer service was brilliant, they advised how to use when we thought we were doing something wrong. Device itself is brilliant and simple enough to use on the app. Highly recommend. Ask advise about using the scheduled charging as this failed to work a few times. Turns out the car goes into sleep mode and doesn't register the charger starting. Easy fix for this though and they will advise.

Cannot comment on reliability as only installed yesterday.

Charger seems good quality and decent app.

The main issue is that the 6 fixings to take the cover off are difficult to access once the charger is fitted on the wall so this can be fiddly and take some time using the tool supplied.

As a company they seem very friendly and have helped with any questions so far.

I would recommend.

Fairly impressed with the quality of the charger however the only thing I don’t trust just yet is the Evec app it self, think it need abit more work and to make sure the schedule works when it should.
