I shopped around for an EV charger but couldn't find a company I liked. either the quote seemed too high or they sounded like they didn't want to be on the phone with me like Ovo. I filled in the online form Friday evening and received a call back first thing Monday morning from Charlie, he was very polite, answered my 20 thousand questions, didn't push me when I said I needed to discuss with my husband and gave me a very competitive quote. I rang back after not too long and decided to go with EV Heroes, charlie was great and outlined everything they needed and sent me the survey to complete, he sent the invoice and booked me in for the following Monday making sure to keep me updated in the meantime and advised a 2-hour time slot from 1 pm. Dead on 1 pm today Alex and John came to fit the charger, they were both lovely and polite and weren't annoyed when I told them I didn't know where my water bonding or stop-tap was and listened to where I thought it was, they helped me take off the kitchen drawer while they looked and tested but they could not find it either. I advised them that my consumer unit is getting upgraded on Thursday as it is very old and they told me that it wouldn't affect the installation however the upgrade I booked should include the water bonding being added. they also told me I needed an upgraded earth and gas bonding as well which they advised they could do but seeing as I already have an electrician coming in 2 days it should also be included in order to pass and get the safety certificate. I was able to relay this to the electrician and he confirmed it was included and he would do this. In the meantime they advised head office of this plan to which they agreed and they went ahead and installed the charger, they was very quick and efficient and tidied up after themselves even by putting the kitchen drawer back on for me. After they explained it was all connected but turned off at the fuse all I had to do Thursday when the electrician was done was to flip the fuse switch on and send them photos of the unit and bondings so they could pass it on to the DNO. They gave me the details for aftercare if needed and a pack with spares and an instruction manual however they still took the time to explain it to me and helped me install the app and how to use it. I am very happy from the beginning to the end of installation and will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks. I just can't wait to get my car and charge it. oh and as an added bonus they ended up finding my stop-tap for me under a false panel beneath the electrics that I didn't know came out so that saves me having to go outside every time I need to turn my water off.

Disgusting customer service- please avoid !!!!

I’ve applied online for home charger following that the company phoned me and went through all the details, type and model of car. The charger was installed and later that week I found out the charger not working properly when you set up on timer which is the main reason I’ve purchased it to use over the night.
The company was fully aware of the issue with Volvo cars but has hide the information about this issue in order to make it sell.

Absolutely, horrible experience with dealing with the staff ! I found them rude and try to blame the client but evidently they kept the very significant information to themself.

Please be aware of this when buying from this company as they are not keen in resolving the issue and they are only concerned about the invoice. I will be seeing an advise from a citizen advisor.

You can tell if the company care about their clients rather than profit when they aren’t helping to solve the problem but rather making you more problems!
Please avoid find a better company!

Sadly this company failed to respond to messages and is now refusing to return my £200 deposit. Having tried to use both their website and email, I got no response but when I cancelled suddenly I did get a response! My confidence had gone but they are trying to keep my deposit so I cannot recommend. They also became quite aggressive once I cancelled.

EV Heroes was the first company that quoted for my electric car charger and was very competitive. We agreed a date in which Conor came to carry out the fitting of the unit, I was very happy with the work he was neat and tidy. Once he had finished he cleaned up everything. He then went through all the steps of how to set up the charger.
Very happy with my new EV Heroes Ohme charger unit.
